I don’t see the need for them to fight over this. Others with stronger reputation have applied for this same position and yet Theymos has not approved their application. Being merit source should be an act of service- in this case to the local board, fighting over the position insinuates that you have an ulterior motive for applying for the position. It is impossible that only 1 out of 100 is qualified to be merit source. If we pull out support for all the qualified applications surely one will get approved.
Yea, didn't see the need of having some kind of competitions. We know very well how our local board lacks merits flow and I wish Theymos would actually make up his mind to approve some of the most recent applications for merit sources. It's not a thing of fight at all, they can work together to make this whole thing come true.
Again, becoming a merit source means that you need to start from your own earned smerits. The way you distribute your earned smerits would also show how you would distribute them when one is made a source. So I think both applicants can work on that aspects for now, while the admin takes his time to make his decisions.
