All this shit happens because 20-30 years ago the US refused to face the problems they were having and decided to delay it. Now the world has a much bigger problem, China.
As you said US ignored the internal problems and just kept focusing on the global dominance by financing the war directly or indirectly now the balance tilted towards the wrong side and China got the upper hand and they will likely to win if US continue this tarrif war because democracy is against dictatorship doesn't stand a chance since even the own people is against their leader in US.
