I saw this on X about a regular gambler and a professional gambler. From my understanding of it, it is not about the gambler being an addict but just a regular gambler. Which of the statements do you disagree with regarding the two?
-snip-
I think that you have described well the dichotomy between two opposite types of gamblers, but if I had to disagree with someone it would be that, like in many other aspects in life, most cases fall somewhere between the two extremes, and it's not that easy to find a totally emotional gambler or a totally professional one.
Even the most superstitious ones think on probabilities, and even the coldest planner experiences dopamine spikes after a big win or loss. And it is just fine, because we're all humans with our emotions and our reasoning capability
