I saw this on X about a regular gambler and a professional gambler. From my understanding of it, it is not about the gambler being an addict but just a regular gambler. Which of the statements do you disagree with regarding the two?
1. Emotion vs. Discipline
•Gambler: Chases wins, reacts emotionally to losses, bets impulsively.
•Professional: Trusts the process, sticks to a plan, treats losses as data.
I'd agree on this. The professional ones are not emotionally attached to their bets and that's why they have plans that they're sticking to. That is the importance of being experienced and professional because they are not falling for their own emotions. If they've lost a lot within the day, they call it a day and they won't be chasing their losses and will have to come back the next day to execute their plans again. The process, they know all of it and they've been there for so many times and that's why if it's about being disciplined, it's them as a gamblers.
