It seems I have been absent for a while in the meta board. A quick search also revealed Mia's merit application happening almost concurrently and from same local board.
@Sexylizzy2813, you don't have to attack one applicant just because you feel the other is more qualified or the other applied first. There's enough room for everyone.
Besides, theymos knows the criteria for selecting a merit source. Many years ago Charles-Tim applied for a merit source but his application is yet to be granted. So, there's a pile of applications, but OP could be favoured as well.
If I may asked is there a rank limitation to apply for a merits source?
Usually anyone who feels more open (devoted of reading out quality post) can apply for merits source and it's not in the hand of that person to be approved as one rather from the hand of theymos as I know vividly, though I am not also sure that mods can appoint merits source apart from global administrators and head administrator which is theymos to appoint merits source.
So seeing other people as someone who is competitive is a very wrong mindset and mentality because having more merits source is not a crime as I know other board do have more merit source or with a larger allocation to cover up their boards, therefore if more application is being tendered it's a Plus to our local board instead of being so naive and feeling oppressed due to someone else also applied almost the same time the other applied, by the way do they know if the other applicant was already drafting her application as well before he posted his application?
