I saw this on X about a regular gambler and a professional gambler. From my understanding of it, it is not about the gambler being an addict but just a regular gambler.  Which of the statements do you disagree with regarding the two?

1. Emotion vs. Discipline
•Gambler: Chases wins, reacts emotionally to losses, bets impulsively.
•Professional: Trusts the process, sticks to a plan, treats losses as data.

I believe you are comparing both for A regular gambler against a professional gambler.

Well, I can acquiesce that there are professional gambler (in writing though) but not particularly in physical and my reason for
not giving it all for a professional gambler is that they also have blood running through their vein and as such, sometimes they get emotional and take irrational decision(s) that contravenes the precepts of professionalism in the field of gambling. Like for instance, they can gamble beyond their budget, refuse to let go, get irritated, angry and cursing or even go into depression because they are losing and chasing back losses which are part of the characteristics of a regular gambler as one of the factor
controlling a regular gambler is emotion.

So there are professional gambler I concur because they understand the rules of gambling as much as they can bear but that is in writing, it is not always followed because the buttom line for a regular and "professional" gambler is profit or losing, moreorless winning or losing. And, that professional gambler can also act in annoying manner like the regular gambler when he is losing too and that would disqualify him as a professional especially when he has a losing streak. I have seen this alot in table games, some "professional" break or scatter game material when they are unexpectedly losing to underdog.
