What could be the best possible way to have a trading mentor? could it be to select a mentor and then let them know that you have chosen them as your mentor or follow them anonymously without their knowledge that their mentoring someone, and you are following in their steps?
Whats your thought?
Having a mentorship process that involves physical and active involvement of both parties is the best form of mentorship since you will be guided on the step-by-step step to achieve your success goals, and it helps you to overcome any possible distractions and mistakes that may arise if you doing it on your own.
So is best you open up to the o e that you calm your mentor instead of you, trying to learn from afar, making it hard to learn so many basic facts that could help prevent you from making mistakes in trading.
I don't agree with all you have said because there is a limit to what a mentor can do for you as a trader, be it physical mentorship or virtual mentorship. The bulk of the job is on the person and how the information passed to him is personalized and put to use. From my experience, over-dependent on a mentor have this way of creating lack of confidence and traders who do this end up feeling more comfortable with signals from their mentor than their own analysis and this is where failure starts. Mentorship is good and a great way to start and any means the lesson is passed makes little difference.
