What happened to BRICS nations?
Since Trump came in I am yet to hear them convening for any meeting. Since Trump slammed Tariffs on most of them I don't see them having any meetings or talking about BRICs anymore.
It makes me to think that were they for real or they wanted to just cause some disruptions in the world market at the time they were talking about whatever they were going to do.
India is a BRICS member but I don't see them having any friendly chat with China with the reality of things.
To each one their own.
The 17th BRICS Summit will hold from 6–7 July 2025, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This meeting will be very important because it is now time to be actively committed to the organization's focus to form a strong and united economic bloc. The tarrif by Trump should be a wake-up call for nations that are sitting on the fence. Atleast they have known that the US now has a new agenda which is focused on enriching the US and improvishing others. This summit in July is timely and I expect it to not just be for policy statements but for action.
