The question here is how do you relieve your excitement? Do you continue to play or do you stop there? The particular habit I observe in gamblers, professional or amateur, is that they are concerned about winning but do not feel the need to relieve their excitement. They are prepared to lose money and in the same way, they avoid limitations in order to earn money from gambling.
I feel excitement every time when I lose or keep winning. Do you also feel excitement when you win or when you lose?
It's a common experience for people to keep gambling when they win big. Maybe they have the consciousness that it was their lucky day, so more games will bring more wins. But this is not always the case because in most cases they lose all they had easier won. Having the consciousness that a win comes once in a while would help you control your reactions when you win.
I have never seen anyone who is excited after a loss. Nobody wants to lose money even if it is a penny. I am happy when I win and I usually celebrate it or relieve the excitement with my friends iwith some bottles of drinks.
Urge to win more is there especially that they think about they could win more. But people didn't realize that they are entering on dangerous situation since there's huge chance that they would able to lose not only their winnings but also their capital on supposed to be be lucky day if they commit big mistakes or bad luck is already striking on them.
No one is enjoying after they lose their money. But they can be denial and say something about they are happy especially if they don't lose much on the games they are playing. Usually those who got big issues are those people lose big amount and they can't handle or accept that situation that's why usually they are mocking then do something terrible things.
