Xi Jinping's long-term leadership in China vs the US 4-year presidential cycle creates a fundamental difference in how economic planning works. While the US changes direction with each administration, China can implement decade-long strategies without interruption.
With capitalism, there is no law that prevents a new president from maintaining the policies and views left by the previous president. They only change when they find it is no longer suitable or correct, they modify with the aim of making things better. For the communist regime, although there will be synchronization, unity and it is considered advantages, it can also become a danger to the country if those policies and strategies are wrong, and not adjusted for a long time. Furthermore, no matter who is president, their main job is to bring prosperity to the economy.
The only difference I see is that each leader's talent is different, which produces different results. It has nothing to do with the regime of that country.
