Perform against who? they beat Nottingham Forrest because they were lucky and other matches they ended in draw against big teams also due to luck. But, Chelsea performance currently quite bad, Palmer no longer give a big contribution. In two latest seasons, Chelsea depended too much on Cole Palmer in attacking from assists to goals. They forgot that dependence on a single star player is very risky especially in modern football and Cole Palmer is only an attacking midfielder, and if Chelsea consider him as their main goal source, no doubt that they will have big problems.
Chelsea began this season, and maintained a first half of season very impressively but their performances started to decrease considerably later. It's not surprising that their declining performances in latest months appear together with worse contributions from Cole Palmer.

However, Chelsea's performance has been somewhat erratic, so Chelsea is in sixth place in the table. Chelsea has failed to win against Ipswich and Brentford. Winning against Everton is not easy for Chelsea. However, since the match is Chelsea's home match, if Chelsea players are confident, Chelsea can win this match.
Everton don't have any motivation to fight and win this match as they have no chance to get a high position enough for joining UEFA Confererence League and have no risk of relegation.
