In other words if you break the law in the USA in broad daylight, you'll go free only as long as breaking the law benefited or was in support of the man in power... Sounds like a very "fair" legal system /s
Cheesy

I guess there’s nothing we can do about it as it’s a special case. A pardon from the president is ultimately his decision, and no matter how criminal the person may be, if the president decides to grant it, they’ll be free. That’s why it’s so important to choose the right president, but I suppose the crypto community would be happy to see Ross free after all this time.
I guess the crypto community may be happy about such news on hearing it, but am thinking on the other hand that it may not be same for some  crypto community members who ain't only thinking of how news of this kind  would increase the size of their bitcoin wallet but who might have being affected directly or indirectly by the actions of Ross in the allegations of having offered a market place for hitmen to others, drugs, illicit prostitution and other matters as I learnt from Franky1 comment which was part of what might have led to his double sentences.

There are a lot of things people can do! From changing the constitution all the way to overthrowing the corrupt regime. Otherwise when the system is corrupt to its core and the laws are designed to be abused by those in power, such gross abuse of power will continue being seen. Here is the previous president abusing his power to pardon criminal members of his own family right before he got out of office:

Twisting the constitution to favour the ruling individual or party interest has been or is what can be found in every democracies of the world. Unfortunately the USA presidency's ain't excluded. The "prerogative of mercy" given to the President of a country by the constitution to exercise in special occasions has now being used to favour cronies and family members instead. That anyone can break the law against the State and pray to have an acquaintance as seating president irrespective of the degree of the offense.

In my country for example, the immediate past and present government have given pardons to a few individuals who either changed their philosophy against criticizing the government and aligned with the ruling government or joined the ruling party and have even gone to the length of compensating with an official appointment in the cabinet.
