To understand how absurd a Russian Black Sea Navy is you have to understand that it first would have to pass the Bosporus strait (right through the heart of Istanbul) to arrive in the Sea of Marmara then pass the Dardanelles strait again Turkey territorium (NATO) to arrive at the Aegean Sea Greece (EU) waters. Now the fleet is ready to do some major battles in the Mediterranean Sea, at least some drunk a*s politician will tell you so. Turkish people if they wanted to stand on the bridge and in the literal sense piss on the passing Russian Navy.

Russia is wealthy enough, and Turkey is greedy enough, that Russia can buy their way through Turkish waters... from the Black Sea to the Aegean... if necessary.
