Yes, that's true, for now BRICS members are busy with their respective national affairs, especially after Trump took the policy of raising tariffs, they seem to forget the projects they established in the BRICS provisions that they have made so far, for now they are focusing on their own countries, because that is much more important, it's just that they are postponing it for some time in the future, I think it's like that waiting for the trade tariff war to subside.
Waiting for tariff war to subside will be tough, because I think the current tariff being imposed is to prevent de-dollarization in the first place.
So, I kinda expect current tariff to be long lasting except if a nation can negotiate with the US to reduce their tariff which many countries are doing right now.
I guess dollar still gonna dominate for next few decades.
Many developing countries are in negotiating with the USA about this tariff and want some relief because they are feeling this can increase their problems and their industries can face consequences which are surely going to have big impact on them.
I am also having no doubt about dollar is going to have strong control for few decades as well because their strong control on few countries and their foreign policies give them good advantage and BRICS is having not deep impact on this while these countries can lose their confidence on each other which could be more terrible for them.
Voices are raises in the USA as well, but Trump is well aware about how to control them and have things on balance even few things are not as he was expecting in early days, but they can manage things which will be beneficial for their country.
