Friends, as you all know, the Bitcoin Node Challenge is a very popular place for members who want to run a node to receive their first merits. To date, over 170 users have successfully synced a Bitcoin node, thereby strengthening the network. Many Jr. Members, Members, and Full Member ranks were created in the process.

Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that merit abusers are inside this thread, and after further investigation, some users have defrauded the challenge by running nodes for a second time. Additionally, some of these users have deleted their old reports in an attempt to conceal this information from me. These users are:

Littlemini (1) (2)
Litzki1990 (1) (2)
Unity for Humanity (1) (2)
bitcoin_mining (1) (2)

I am disappointed in the conduct of these users, and it leaves me no other choice but to banish them from all present and future competitions I run. This decision was not taken lightly, and other managers are encouraged to check this activity for themselves and use their own discretion before accepting these users. Any alt accounts of these users, if found, will also be expelled.

This flagrant abuse of merit will not be tolerated.

For everyone else, the challenge continues as normal. An automated program is now in place that will detect any attempts to enroll twice.
