I never really believed that someone who wins a big multiplier is someone who wins because of their skills.

If you asking about "Skills" you are asking about the bankroll management, provider checks like potential slots and other. Other factor like type of the slot too, the volatility, RTP.... all of these still consider as skill.
Even you're put your hope on luck, at least don't 100% blind at all.
