I don't care about people who sell their souls to the devil in the hope of becoming famous and rich because the fame and wealth they have can also be lost when the time comes. But when it comes to happiness and satisfaction in our own lives, it only depends on how much gratitude we have after we earn income from our own efforts. Because people who have income and are grateful for what they have received are people who can always be happy with their own lives, while people who are not grateful for what they have received will always feel lacking and unhappy with their own conditions.
In this temporary world, alongwith some noble and innocent people there are those who sell their souls to devil, trading their morals, spirituality for this temporary world's success, wealth, fame or power. This topic is very deep rooted in religious beliefs because a person who believes that this world is going to end soon will never prefer this temporary world's happiness over permanent life after death. We should be grateful for the things we have been blessed with because he who is blind knows the value of sight. A daily wager should be grateful for the money he earn after hard work and at the judgement day he will get a reward for it. When someone sell his beliefs or ethics for personal gain they risk losing not just their spiritual identity but also the trust and respect of others. Ultimately, don't chase temporary happiness at the cost of their soul because he thinks it is benficial for him but God knows what is better for us. In hard times, be grateful to God.
