Hey) Yeah, and I've already lost

:
I was more successful with the free bet, but in the end, the winnings were half of what I received as a reward for winning the BTC price prediction contest. It turns out that in order to get half of the assigned prize, need to win twice: make the right prediction, and then make the right bet.

Yes, but that's also quite understandable:
You simply get the amount credited as a freebet, in your case 25 dollars. With your odds a bit over 1.5, you then have to multiply this amount by 0.59 to get the 14 dollars that were credited to you. The 25 dollars are the stake, which you will of course not get back - as you have not paid any stake.
I hope that was explained reasonably clearly now

I was also a bit confused with playing with free bets before now because I taught I actually never got the figure that I was supposed to win whenever I placed a bet and saw the potential winning amount but it wasn't until a while ago I fully understood the concept of the actual free bet amount not being calculated to part of your stake, like for example if I bet with the 25$ free bet on a total odd of 2.00 then I get the 25$ as possible win seeing that my stake is not added to the full winning amount.
