Tottenham and Manchester United seem to be the teams that will qualify for the final of the UEFA Europa League according to tonight's results. In this case, 6 teams from the Premier League will participate in the Champions League next season. I think it will be good to see more Premier League teams in this tournament next year...
Quite interesting, because how is it possible that a team that is currently slumping in the domestic league is performing well in the UEL, even having a big chance of being able to play in the UCL next season. However, it is still very unfortunate because the EPL clubs playing in the UCL had to be eliminated early, and now only Arsenal is left, which is likely to also end up in the semifinals.
PSG were be able to identify Arsenal’s weaknesses and capitalized on them. PSG overpowered Arsenal’s midfield and heaped heavy pressure on the Gunners in the beginning of the game forcing them to concede a goal and made it difficult for Arsenal to get one back. It was a good game plan and was well executed.
In the first match between Arsenal and PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals, to be honest I was very disappointed with the atmosphere shown by Arsenal supporters when supporting their team. The atmosphere given was not at all surprising in being able to dampen the mentality of PSG players, especially when talking about the tifo they displayed in the match, which was not good at all, where they only stretched a red cloth with a picture of the London cannon in the middle. Even though this was a big match.
They are the only hope for the English league to be able to achieve the best results in the UCL this season, but Arsenal have wasted that support and hope even when they played as hosts.
