His contribution to the team is still worth it, he is making a huge contribution. I don't see any problem on him, but maybe in the lineup, coach or the way they play.
One championship in 7 years proves that he is not making a huge contribution.
If he only sticks to playing and letting others manage the team then it would be a different thing and maybe he would even win more titles, but that's not the case with Lakers as he meddles in everything and imho no player should be bigger than the club they are playing for.
