I had predicted from the start that the rise of teams like Nottingham forest and Brighton would be temporary and they would not be able to retain their position in league end and fail to qualify for any European championships. Nottingham stuck their for quite a long period and were the darkhorse of the season, after being barely saved from being relegated in last season, they are at least going to be in top 7. They still have chance to play the Europa league.
This was not unexpected. However, I thought Nottingham Forest would be eliminated from the Champions League qualification race much earlier. However, at the very last moment, the team was eliminated from the top four of the table. This is definitely a pity for Nottingham.
Nottingham Forest have lost three of their last four matches. Despite winning against renowned teams like Tottenham and Manchester United, they have lost against teams like Everton and Brentford. I would say that Nottingham Forest did their homework properly on Everton and Brentford. Since Nottingham Forest are fighting for Champions League qualification, they needed to be more aware.
