I am not trying to rain on your parade, but doesn't the BPIP extension already do this(including other features others might find useful)? I am currently using it and it is basically the same as this when it comes to identifying banned users.
BPIP isn't working on some browsers since Google added their manifest v3, and I think suchmoon hasn't been able to release the new version on the extension store.The extension failed review when I tried to release the updated version from test to "live". Still trying to figure out what exactly the didn't like about it. Said something about collecting "user status" data, which I don't think we do.
