Bitcoin is the best investment today but I doubt that bitcoin will become the best asset in the world in the future. The world's best assets must meet factors such as liquidity, legality, stability and safety against geopolitical and economic risks...The most important thing is the use case, the real world application, as this is the main factor driving demand, not just depending on limited supply to be the best asset.

Over time, bitcoin will mature and be able to overcome its shortcomings such as high volatility, increase liquidity, and become globally legal or stable during times of instability...making it a good inflation hedge comparable to gold, TIPS. But its application and use in as many diverse areas as gold is difficult and that makes me doubt that it will ever be the best asset.
