It was good game for Aston villa, scoring just one goal and they still where able to keep up with the pressure on Fulham till the end of the 90th minute. As for their qualification for the champions league, the number of games are still remaining might still be the stumbling blocks for them because football can be a bit dicey, however the competition between Nottingham Forest, Aston villa and Chelsea for that fifth position is on a high side. So I'm still Open minded as to who will finally occupy that fifth position at the end of the season.
I saw the level of pressure from Aston Villa, which led to Fulham having 5 yellow cards from the players and 1 for the coach. This Fulham team all of a sudden became a pain in the ass this season unlike other season.
I can't say it was a good game for Aston Villa. They missed a lot of chances in the second half. If not for the early goal that came in the first half, it might have ended in a complete no-goal match. However, that should not make me not appreciate their effort and determination to come out as the top 5 because Chelsea might lose their next match same thing like Nottingham Forest, which have been so poor in performance in the late period.
