So far the two matches that were played in English Premier League this round ended with a narrow margin, actually only one goal. It is the end of the season, every team in the top is afraid from missing a European spot. Manchester City aren't safe, they are afraid from missing any point, so a goal victory is better than nothing. Same goes for Aston Villa, they aren't far from Champions League spots even if that might not be their main objective.
Because whatever the score is, it does not guarantee that they cannot beat their opponents, so it would be better to win by a narrow score than a match with a fairly large score but the final result is not as expected.
Currently, several clubs are still trying to compete for a position because judging from the current conditions in the standings, all still have a chance to fall or rise, even for Arsenal. Most clubs have 3 matches left before the end of the season and that means there are still 9 points if they can still get them if the final results go well. It's just that of course this is not easy which makes the situation complicated in the end.
This condition will be interesting because now several competing clubs may try to focus on the EPL only except for several clubs that are still in the Europa League or Champions League such as Arsenal, especially now Arsenal's chances are much greater to qualify for the Champions League next season so even though their focus is divided, they are still quite comfortable in their position.
