Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag played a aggressive inning of 95 runs from just 45 balls, he just missed his well deserved century by 5 runs short. The man of The Match is Andre Russell for his outstanding batting performance scored 57 runs unbeaten from just 25 balls and assisted Rajasthan Royals to win this match. Varun Chakravarthy bowl well picked two important wickets by giving only 32 runs and assist his team to stay alive in this tournament.
There were total 2 matches today in Indian Premier League competition and both matches were successfully completed without any issues. After this defeat, chances for Royal Rajasthan squad to reach semi finals have become even slimmer. On other hand, Lucknow Super Giants also played very badly today and after this loss, their ranking has dropped as well and now they are in 7th place. Both Kolkata Knight Rider squad and Royal Rajasthan squad played a match with narrow outcome and Royal Rajasthan squad missed a victory just by one score and today Royal Rajasthan squad was too unlucky. Top scorer in Kolkata Knight Rider squad was Andre Russell who played amazing inning with collecting 57 scores with just 25 deliveries. In other match Punjab Kings squad against Lucknow Super Giants squad, Lucknow Super Giants squad faced a bad defeat with 37 scores and reasons they lost match because of low quality performance in bowling inning.
Both the matches of today were excellent. In the first match, Kolkata Knight Riders won by 1 run. In the other match, Lucknow Super Giants managed to score 199 runs against Punjab Kings' target of 236 runs. Although the team lost to Punjab Kings by 37 runs, it can be said that there was a good competition there. In many big innings, it is seen that if one team gives a big target, the other team cannot go much further but today's two matches were tough. The IPL matches are almost over but Kolkata is expected to do something good towards the end. Their performance was not good in the beginning but it is understood that they are coming back. Although Rajasthan did well in the beginning, their end is very bad, which is why they will not have any chance in this tournament.
