Let's get it straight, Amorim is aware that his chances in the EPL are very small to reach the top 4 just to secure a UCL ticket. However in the Europa League he has a greater chance, and if he succeeds in winning the title then Manchester United's position is equal to 2-5 clubs in the EPL standings. Why? because they both entered the Champions League but with different paths. Is Amorim smart? Of course he knows which path can be taken this season. Next season will be the starting point where Amorim needs to inject player performance in the transfer window.
Amorim is moving really smart and I like that. Seeing that it is impossible to finish in top four position at the end of the season he has turned his focus to achieving the Europa league which gives automatic qualification to the Champions League for next season and not only will he be achieving Champions League qualification but also winning a trophy in his first season at Manchester United.
