Lets not go all paranoid here, wearing a bitcoin tee shirt or hat is not going to get you rolled.
Strutting through a slum with a rolex and more jewelry than the queen of england will.
I'm not sure you guys know the context of the picture I posted of that Indian "Money Lender".
He was basically a loan shark that used to strut around the slums he made his money off of flashing in the faces of the people struggling to pay him back the wealth he fucked them out of.
Of course if your stupid enough to brag online that you have more coins then the average person makes in a decade or more than you'd be an idiot not to know you just painted a target on your forehead.
How true. It's all a matter of context.
I used to wear a
BTC ballcap on stage in one of my neighborhood bars and I never had a problem even though lots of locals knew I was a Bitcoin enthusiast and early adopter. Some were jealous but realized I'd tried to steer them toward Bitcoin. Others were in denial and called me a fool for falling for such an "obvious scam". No one targeted me.
On the other hand, in Mexico I'd never wear a
BTC hat or t-shirt nor mention Bitcoin to a stranger. I'd also never wear a Rolex. drive a Lambo nor wear flashy clothes. People get held for ransom for such foolish displays of wealth.
Online? That's just stupid. I can't believe how many people put their name, picture, location and other personal information on the internet. You don't need to be paranoid to realize how crazy that is.
