i mainly use brave for everyday use since it has a built in ad blocker which is what i care about most (i hate annoying ads) when browsing the web.
brave also have tor built in for private windows which is nice.

So, essentially Brave is like Firefox with ad-blocking addons. I knew that, I am just verifying with other users that it works well.

But I'm very curious about the development of Ladybird, a brand new wallet from the scratch. You see the list of browsers and see stuff like Brave, Edge, Tor, DuckDuckGo... but they're all based on Chromium or Firefox. Ladybird wants to be the actual *new* open browser. And they aren't letting big corporations dictate how they will operate, so right now they are funded entirely by donations from those who care about open web.

Not much to use right now, but I suggest you keep your eye open: https://ladybird.org/

Good one, I will definitely keep an eye on its development. And, yes, you are right about all these browsers that are based on Firefox and Chromium.

My main question is, why do you need another browser compared to the current setup that you are using? The recommended browser will depend on why you want to switch.

I don't necessarily need another one, but I am always interested in testing new stuff. Software is great when you 're used to using it, but it's also a trap of staying back. So far, I am happy with my setup, but if you think about it, I could merge bullets (1) and (2) using a browser that has a native ad-blocking feature instead of needing an add-on.

Some good ones I 've heard of but haven't used:

In any case, I can make a recommendation for this one. Try it and you shall be positively surprised.

Alright, I will keep an eye on it. Thanks!
