It was an important step towards a CL spot. If Liverpool didn't guarantee the PL title then probably the final score would be different though.
But I'm not underestimating Chelsea. Here in this match their effort was impressive.It was nice to see Palmer's goal contribution. Chelsea need him for achieving their targets. If I'm not mistaken Forest won't be able to get past any of Newcastle - Chelsea in case of winning today. Because of goal difference in the event of same points by these 3 teams.
So Chelsea should be fine in the 5th place for now.
