I made the mistake of betting on Liverpool to beat Chelsea which eventually did not happen and I've lost my money, I am really not surprised that Chelsea ended up winning the game, Liverpool lost but also at the same time did not loose looking at the number of points they have accumulated all through this season and their position in the league table, winning the premier league title this season is already a kind of guarantee for them since the season is also coming to an end with only a few games generally left to play..
I don't want to say that the Chelsea vs Liverpool match yesterday was like a match that helped Chelsea to qualify for the Champion League because Chelsea played well, especially how Chelsea really wanted to get 3 points from Liverpool.
You made a mistake by betting on Liverpool, I bet on a draw because what I thought yesterday was that this match no longer had any effect on Liverpool and the match only meant for Chelsea who were struggling to fill 5th place in the standings.
The guard of honour Chelsea gave to Liverpool was disrespected, They just wanted to humiliated our current champion by winning them 3-1. There is no doubt that Chelsea are desperate to qualify for the champions league but the competitions on who will clinch that 5th position in the league table is not looking directly clear for Chelsea, we still have Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Aston villa still very much in the race to occupy that space. Of course Liverpool played that game without much seriousness in their psychology, maybe the thought of already winning the league title had occupy their minds, so I believe they didn't give in their all.
I don't see that as a humiliation, Chelsea really needed that win regardless of the scores it was very important cause winning the Conference League won't take us to the Champions League, so they had to do everything possible to atleast beat Liverpool since the next match is against Newcastle and at St. James' Park, it's another tough one cause Newcastle are also aiming at maintain a good position for the Champions League.
Although I didn't expect Liverpool to be serious with the match but I'm impressed with my team they showed seriousness and seized their opportunities to score goal, Cole Palmer finally scored, he did well in the match, I just hope we qualify for the Champions League, win the Conference League Cup and sign better players for next season.
