The one example I can use similar to this is when restaurants used to have arcade machines on their place. This is similar to what is going on here. I think this is a very good way to attract more customers as after all drinking spots are hang out spots and slot machines can make these people stay for longer and buy more.

Though in casinos, don’t they already serve drinks? So why not just go to a casino? Maybe they do not like the environment of many people gambling all together at once.
