Because most of the people who enter the market and invest in bitcoin want to make profits and get rich quickly, and not many people really care about the decentralized nature that bitcoin brings. If people really care about privacy, decentralization as they claim, they wouldn't be so eager and excited about the news of the government legalizing bitcoin, making it a national reserve currency...Obviously what people care about most is profit so the government buying bitcoin is good for all of us.
Decentralization is more valuable than the price.
