It is surprising how Nottingham Forest was kicked out of their third position in the Premier League table. I expected Nottingham Forest to beat Crystal Palace yesterday so that they could mount pressure on Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Chelsea in the race for a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League competition, but they failed to beat Crystal Palace, which has put their chance of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League competition in jeopardy. Nottingham Forest needs to win all their remaining 3 matches in the Premier League and hope for Newcastle United and Chelsea to lose one of their 3 remaining matches to book a spot in European competition.
It's so surprising how they managed to be forced out of the champions league spot only a few matches to the end I really thought they were going to hang on till the end but they failed to hang on just few matches to go, they dropped too much points and no one knows what went wrong for them because they were in good form and it was almost certain thet they had a spot secured in the champions league already. They are still in the race but I don't think with this form they can hold for long, beating Crystal Palace would have made it easier for them but they got lucky they didn't lose and picked up a point.
Chelsea have big fixtures ahead but their final match with Nottingham Forest will definitely determine who will make it in the final day I am not sure if Chelsea can win both Newcastle and Manchester United so losing one of the matches could give Nottingham Forest hope if they can win their own games. The race is pretty tight so we will have to wait till the end to see who qualifies.
