I disagree though, it's only maybe in Las Vegas that you can see slot machines outside of the casinos. And it's not even comparable to ATM machines. Unless the government really wanted their people to get addicted and then society to decay then they will do it.
But it doesn't make sense at all for them to do it. So I doubt that we will see this in the future. Slot machines should only be inside the casino. As if this go outside, there could be underage that might exposed to it.
In my country there is a city called "Port Harcourt"; those from there should be familiar with the city last few times I went out to sit with friends, I have seen the increase in such machines installed in lounges.
It's very common now; just in one area, I can point out 3 different lounges that have that installed. For the providers, it's good for their business, but it's bad business ethics to lure someone who obviously loses control of themselves through the consumption of alcohol to go and waste more money there. It's left for the authorities to take action if they consider it unhealthy.
