It is foolish to sell your entire investment after the investment period ends. Because you have been investing for a long time and you have kept your holdings until your time limit ends. But if you do not sell your entire holdings, you can sell some amount of holdings during your need period which will be able to meet your needs. If you can keep your holdings in this way, then it will be good for you.

Well I don't think it is even that easy to sell all the Bitcoin one have accumulated for years just that like, the only time it can be that easy to sell everything is when that particular investor didn't have a good fraction of Bitcoin is his or her portfolio because if an investor has a good fraction of Bitcoin in there portfolio then selling everything won't be that easy because the investor will calculate how long it took him or her to get to that height.

Moreover, any investor that wants to sell all his or her investment should at least have a good plan of what they will use the money for else it becomes a waste and a reckless decision and even the investor will regret after selling and didn't make good use of the money. So anyone who has plan on what to use the money for, I don't see anything wrong with that so long as they have hold for a long term and they have gotten a good return from it.

There is never a time that selling all of one Bitcoin portfolio is good, selling everything is a wrong approach even if you have had a reasonable size of Bitcoin and have hold for long selling everything at a go is not a wise decision rather one can sell only part of their holding and while making provisions of refilling it with passage of time, there is nothing wrong selling part of our holding and enjoy our life too at some point after a holding for long term and when it comes to withdrawing we can become strategic with it rather than selling all at once, you can have a look at jayjuanGee sustainable withdrawal method ideas

They are totally wasting their long time efforts if they made and that, this is why its not recommendable to do those actions and settle up for short gains. But if you really need immediate funds like there's emergency situation happened and your emergency funds got exhausted and you are in need of other source of funds. Then I guess there's nothing wrong for deciding to sell some part of your holdings but just make sure that you return it back once situation became fine and you surpass on that immediate challenges happen in your life. We can't avoid to experience those heavy situations and what's important is we are responsible investor and know to return the amount we used. Also they should do it once since if they do this for multiple times and think about they could just return it, for sure more temptation came and this might be the reason why their investment collapsed and decide to sell everything they have once they encounter unwanted situations that they fear to happen.
