It depends on the point of view you decide to see your  gambling experience or the gambling experience of others, actually. For me, it is not always about spending only what I can afford to lose on casinos or when I decide I feel like betting on football matches, there is also a component of getting as much thrill as possible for the least money possible one can deposit for a single session.  there is a ratio of thrill per dollar wagered or dollar lost to the casino.
Of course, there will be always people who will say all of these ideas are non-sense and the ultimate objective and what we should look for is being able to defeat the casino and the edge of the house on the shortest period of time possible and withdraw money, but those people generally do not understand it is not as easy as it sounds.
