English premier league fans always refer to French teams as farmers league.

Ironically, it's not PSG, they refer to Bundesliga and Ligue like that because they mainly have one team, PSG and Bayern that is completely dominant, and it has no depth, which to be fair is a bit true since Ligue 1 has at most two other teams that do play.
France has one CL winner, Germany has 3, England has 6! Spain has is also worse than Germany with just two teams ever winning.
So, despite not being nice, there is still bit of truth about it!

Arsenal have earned my respect a lot, they did very well this season in the premier League but ended up not winning the trophy.

15 points behind Liverpool and with Liverpool winning the PL 5 matches before the end can hardly be considered doing well, at least in the last season they were only two points behind.
This not mentioning the fact that they might even lose the second or third place if they play like last time against Bournemouth
