Not accepting defeats and being aggressive to recover back your losses the quickest as possible is something that gambler mostly committed as mistake, with that mentality instead of only losing allocated amount they tend to push forward as emotions really controlled their decision making, like what you said, it's better to quit when you already lose the amount that you deposit and take the fun side of it and let go as there's still another day for you to re-try and playback with much clear mindset.
If every gambler had the same approach as you said, then really we wouldn't find many of them falling into really big problems. The average gambler finds it difficult to control their emotions when they lose, instead of losing some, they are willing to lose everything while chasing their losses. Even if they plan as best as they can, I guess it's always hard to keep things under control all the time, especially since they expect to make money from gambling.
Your advice is good, but I dare say that only a small percentage of gamblers can actually put it into practice. Regular gamblers know very well what they are doing and what risks they will face, but they are like people who don't care because winning money is the goal of their gambling.
