The Liverpool and Arsenal match may not really be a serious one per se because both teams are not fighting for anything anymore as they already know how the season will end for them. But they might just play to keep records which is a good reason to see some form of interesting match. I will rely on goals and not who will win because both sides will likely score in that match. Arsenal may not be in the right frame of mind to defeat Liverpool after their Champions League loss to PSG and Liverpool too are not too motivated to play like before so they can settle for a score draw.
It is not serious with Liverpool but with Arsenal it is somewhat important. They need three points from Liverpool to secure their second position as after all, Arsenal won't want to lose their second position and they actually have risk of falling to third or fourth position in Premier League. They have only 4 points more than Chelsea at the fifth position and I would not say there is no risk for Arsenal to fall down to that position after three remaining matches. Every win in last three matches will help them move closer to an ending with less risk of falling to third, fourth or fifth position.
Maybe, just maybe. Arsenal haven’t got much to play for and Liverpool don’t have anything to play for at all, except for records. I’m guessing we would see a similar performance like we had when Liverpool played against Chelsea. The moral for Arsenal would be at an ATL, given that they’ve lost all that they had targets for. Better to stay in their champions league position though, while they prepare to battle Barcelona for 3rd place in the champions league. Liverpool just happened to show them how it’s done in a season where City flopped.
They have big reason to at least avoid a defeat in this match but if possible, they will try to get three points that are helpful for them to refresh themselves after disappointed defeat in Champions League semi final. Three points will help them reducing a lot of pressure in two last matches after a big clash with Liverpool.
I believe Arsenal won't want to lose this match but they perhaps are not strong enough to beat Liverpool so it's likely that they will share 1 point after this super sunday match.
