I think the think that gets most people is that they don't realize there is such a large overlap when it comes to trading and gambling. The gambling portion in trading is the risking of the gambling and in gambling it really is all risky as well and so they are just so similar in that sense
They're similar but still far apart, when trading you can repeat your strategy and it'll give you victory. Immediately you get a working strategy that have proven more than once for you to be profitable, you have gotten the secret to winning while training and you can't say the same for gambling because despite you using the same strategy that gave you victory previously still doesn't guarantee that you'll winning your next bet. Trading can be learnt through studying and having experience. With the experience, the market wouldn't be victorious over you as it use to be but you can't say any of that when gambling. Gambling is purely just luck hence we shouldn't think it's the same thing as trading because it isn't. We can have gamblers being profitable without having any knowledge but we can't say the same about traders.
