I meant to create a topic about my experience 3 days ago while doing p2p. Till now I'm still confused what actually happened and I was going to ask the community if anyone has experienced such before now.
So as usual after the buyer has confirmed their payment, we go to our bank to confirm our receiving it. I went to confirm and then returned to my app to release coins but on getting there the coins were already released to the buyer. I also have my 2fa authentication on but the coins were just sent without any verification nor my approval.
I've not experienced such thing in my years of trading p2p and till now I'm still trying to get my head around what actually happened. But then let's all be careful. Imagine this was a scammer who didn't send the money and the exchange had already released my coins without my approval.
I have been using Bybit for some years now but I haven't had this kind of negative experience before, This is very strange and very risky as well. I wonder how many Bybit users may have.experience this ugly situation. I believe if Bybit management teams doesn't address this lapse, someone will definitely loose money as a result of this automated releasing of assets. I am kind of feeling weird right now,I don't even know if I can trust using Bybit for my p2p trading again. Experience like this can be very discouraging especially when it's come to releasing of assets. Some merchant might likewise, take advantage of this situation by faking payment and knowing fully well that the system will automatically releases the coin. Omo e be like say,I go just stick with Bitget exchange for the moment. Although I avoided them because of their fees but looks like, they are now a better exchange to be considered at the moments for all my p2p trading .
