This is a very big lesson to us as gamblers not to follow any predictions by a prophet concerning our gambling because thousands of dollars where lost simply because people believed that this man of God heard God told him the supposed prediction as he shared it with his church members
If these religious figures were sure that they had revelation from some divine source about accurate predictions, they would have been millionaires. They would have simply placed bets with large sums and won big. Maybe some of them might claim that they have been restricted from betting on games gotten from visions and revelations.
This failed prophecy and backlash is indeed a big lesson for fake religious leaders to stay out of sports predictions. I am sure this pastor will lose some of his members who would be disappointed that the leader they once respected is fake.
For gamblers who believe in such divinely guided predictions, it has been shown that most of these predictions are from the personal views of these preachers and not really from any supernatural being. The lesson is to bet what you can afford to lose even when you believe it is a sure bet.
