Such player behavior is one of the signs of gambling addiction. Exactly the same behavior is demonstrated by traders who, after a losing trade, try to regain what they have lost as quickly as possible and at the same time neglect risk management.
You're right, but this is usually found more within gamblers than traders because even though it could be addictive sometimes, trading is not as addictive as gambling is, and even if we don't consider this being a reaction to addictiveness and call it rage or a lack of self-control, it's still more common among gamblers because gambling usually makes you face such things more often than trading.
In trading, if you are trading with knowledge and know what you are doing, you won't face a loss in every trade, but you will surely have to face it at some point, because we know losses are inevitable. However, in gambling, you might face it in every other bet because the outcome is totally uncertain and you can't predict what's going to happen, unlike trading,g where if one understands the market very well, they can at least predict the next moves most of the time.
This is why trading is different than gambling.
