I was supposed to create a separate thread about this, but due to my busy schedule, I thought it would be best by just sharing it on this thread only. Now, the idea of whether of someone investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency wasn't actually something to be bothered about until I saw a reason to be bothered about it.
Few weeks back, while watching a new episode of a financial related show on YouTube, the word "Cryptocurrency" was used in describing every digital currency that exist including Bitcoin. I didn't have any issue with that, until the show host described cryptocurrency with few statements like:
1. It's basically a form of gambling
2. It's not an investment, it's a speculation
3. A possible projected amount is zero, etc.
It is very important that we should also learn how to separate Bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies, we all know that Bitcoin is also a cryptocurrency, but it’s better to address cryptocurrencies by being specific on the particular cryptocurrency by mentioning its name, Altcoin as should be addressed specifically, why any other altcoins should also be mentioned specifically instead of confusing someone who wants to learn.
But I assure you that Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency is not a gambling platform, Bitcoin is volatile, that is why it is important to focus on investing in Bitcoin for a longer term and accumulate for 4-10yrs instead of focusing on trading Bitcoin, that is when you can say it’s probably gambling because you will stand more chance of loosing, at this point it’s all risk, If you are someone whose aim and objectives is to invest and trade when the market rises, you can basically say is a form of gambling.. And there is no way your projected amount like you mentioned will be zero when you invest and accumulate for a long term purpose.
