Arsenal and Man City will currently focus on maintaining their positions in the standings for a Champions League ticket next season. Arsenal facing Liverpool, will certainly have quite a hard time with the resistance from the Premier League champions this season. But Man City may be very favored to win in this week's match.
If Arsenal is unable to get a win, then what happens is that their position is shifted by Man City with a goal difference. We are approaching the end of the season, and the competition for a place in the Champions League is certainly getting more exciting, seeing the points difference, which is not too far between the teams.
If at the end of this season and Arsenal failed to end it at the second position in the EPL it would be more disappointing that after all the best shows they gave all through the season in all competitions they still couldn't end hold it next to the league champions. It won't be like Manchester city had the worst season because for any team to end in second place after going through all the losses City had and still had to end in second place then they would be better off than an Arsenal team that may end in third place. I hope that doesn't happen eventually.
There is nothing disappointing if the hope for the trophy can no longer be achieved. The other target must be a safe position for the Champions League. No matter the second or third position, Arsenal has won that position in the previous two seasons. They always compete and try for the trophy, but this season, once again they still failed.
Quite surprised with the goalless first half draw between Man City and Southampton. I thought they would get a goal in the first half, but with them dominating the game, unfortunately they did not get a goal.

Manchester City, although they had an extremely large advantage in areas such as ball possession and passing success, were ineffective in goal areas, so it was very interesting to be able to control the game so much and not score a goal. Southampton's low-tempo and defensive game disrupted City's rhythm, they retreated to defense and were there throughout the match.
Southampton's goalkeeper also warded off Manchester City's attacks and shots well. Southampton, despite their poor performance in the league, felt a little better in this match.
Remember City Played against Southampton a team who are sitting in the bottom of the league table with just only 12 points since the beginning of the season and which is a very bad, it will be very humiliating if they can't even go pass this level of points and the season ends, even though it isn’t necessary at the moment because they can't escape being relegated any longer, but I think they resisted not to end the season with such a terrible point record. Manchester City weren't relentless in the game, they tried their best but the game wasn't in their favor to go home with the maximum of 3 points.
