New way slavery is this
There will be people who will be owned by nobody and people who got owner or Rep.
So basicly there will be people without rights they will have people who represents them.
Also not sure what countries but a lot nations will be situation when you can own buy and sell others.
Basicly people Will become the commodities traded and sold legally.
I doubt what you insinuated will ever happen. Humanity has been practicing representing for so long and that doesn't take away the right of the people being represented. Even if we have to get to the extreme of it, humans are even devicing means of equal representation. The spirit of decentralization is hovering around, so I don't think slavery will tilt the way you are seeing it.
When I read the title of your article, I was thinking you will say that humans will be slaves to AI or something of that nature. But I now understand that you are going legally. I also do not know people without rights. Even if they are made to believe that they don't have fundamental human rights, very soon the lies would be exposed and freedom will come.
If there would be people owned by nobody, atleast those set are free humans. So humanity is safe.
