Financial background will always affect a person motivation to gamble, regardless of whether they are old or young. The real purpose of gambling is to gain profit, for those who consider it just for fun, maybe they are not the type of people who gamble regularly. People who gamble regularly need initial capital even in small amounts, without winning it is impossible for them to return.

Old or young people sometimes have the same goals when gambling, sometimes they can be different, no one knows for sure what they want. With the ease of accessing gambling sites via the Internet, old people may have the same motivation as young people to gamble. But what is certain is that all of this requires initial capital.

People are different, with different personalities and temperaments, and I don’t believe people are truly capable of changing. If someone was a gambler in their youth, they will remain the same in old age. The only difference is that when they were young, they could afford to play for larger amounts of money, while in old age they might only have a pension and some small savings.

For those who see it as entertainment, they’ll always find a way to play, even with small bets. I don’t believe this will affect their health or emotional state for that, you need big bets and big losses, which of course would impact not only elderly people but young ones too.
