I wouldn't say financial freedom isn't meant for many, it is meant for everybody but we have to do some extra things for we to be among the people that'll be beneficiary of the financial freedom. Assuming everybody gets it then it won't have any value anymore and people that aren't prepared to manage the wealth are going to lose everything and go back to being broke. An example is when someone wins a lottery, after few months or years depending on the quantity of the money, you'll realize that they have lost the money. The banks aren't the ones making it hard for us to have financial freedom, what I think they're doing is making us too relax and settle for less than for we to push further and try to achieve more than what the society has set as limit for us to achieve.

I wish people think this way and even make it a priority to be financially free but the truth is, I come to understand despite that we all got to be financially free but many people don't find it necessary may be they are in there comfortable zone and are only getting the fire things the need may be because of that they don't think it is necessary to have a total freedom financially, although God created everyone equal but the thing is everyone was not meant to equal financially even in the holy book there were rich people and poor people, some people were also financially ok not very rich but not poor rather, with what I know, we as individual can never think the same, our thinking different and relating this to this discussion this attribute may also hinder some individual from attaining a particular level financially,we have many scenarios that can hinder people from attaining financial freedom or stability but in all, what matters is our decisions and the ability to figure out what we actually want then we can plan towards achieving it.
