Neymar Jr, and Lionel Messi were playing in PSG at the same time as Mbappe and they never won the Champions League trophy with the club. Why would Mbappe be the one to regret? Mbappe is a young player with a long successful career ahead of him. Right now he’s playing in one of the greatest teams in the world, Real Madrid will ensure his long term success in football.
Mbappe should never feel bad for now winning anything at PSG when he was playing with the likes of Messi and Neymar in the same team, it is just natural that it was never meant for them at that time to win the trophy because they lack adaptability to each others way of football. During that time, both Neymar and Messi are already a winner of the champions league trophy and won’t pay much attention to it as Mbappe will and if there is no collective efforts by all players then can’t achieve anything in the end. Mbappe is playing in one of the greatest teams in the world and he’s still very brave and has all it takes to win the champions league trophy. So he won’t feel bad or regret, he will one day win the champions league trophy in my opinion.
I disagree because Mbappe did benefit from Messi as someone who did not play egoistically and was always willing to play the perfect assist for Mbappe instead of taking the chances himself. The biggest problem was their meltdowns when they got under pressure in important games. You could observe that in the CL frequently when they controlled the game, but then conceded a goal or made a huge mistake that should have never happened. It wasn't just the one mistake then, but they lost control of the whole situation and then lost the games eventually.
In the most important games I thought that Mbappe should have played a more important role for Real Madrid. He scores goals, but a player of his calibre could do more not only in terms of the number of goals, but for the team in general. Ronaldo was a different level because he won games on his own. Mbappe doesn't do that very often.
